Join a well‑established national law firm’s Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team as a Regulatory Healthcare Solicitor based in Birmingham. The role focuses on managing an inquest caseload for NHS clients, care homes and other health‑sector organisations, with occasional national travel to attend hearings.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include running inquest files from instruction to hearing, attending and advocating at pre‑inquest reviews and inquests, preparing witnesses and clients for court, and collaborating with colleagues on related healthcare regulatory matters such as capacity, consent and regulatory prosecutions.

The team offers cross‑practice support on affiliated issues (for example funding and employment), a varied client base and scope to develop advocacy and regulatory advisory skills within a supportive, values‑driven environment.

Qualified solicitor with 2–10 years’ post‑qualification experience.
Experience of inquest work and advocacy at inquests or pre‑inquest review hearings.
Willingness to develop and expand advocacy skills; existing inquest advocacy is desirable.
Knowledge or interest in healthcare regulation (NHS and private care settings) is advantageous.
Strong organisational, communication, IT and teamworking skills; ability to work to deadlines and manage a caseload.
