Senior Associate – Catastrophic Injury (5-10 PQE)

An international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Catastrophic Injury practice, working on high-value, complex claims in a hybrid model from either Birmingham or Manchester.

This role sits within a leading, nationally recognised team that handles some of the most challenging and high-profile injury cases, often involving severe, life-changing injuries and sensitive circumstances that attract significant media attention.

You will work closely with the team’s Head of Catastrophic Injury, a recognised market leader, and will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing a caseload of catastrophic injury claims, including motor, employer liability, and public liability matters.
• Developing case strategy and providing expert technical advice on quantum and liability.
• Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the team’s continued success.
• Engaging with major insurers and corporate clients, leveraging the firm’s award-winning technology and process innovations.

• 5-10 years’ post-qualification experience in catastrophic injury litigation, ideally with a defendant focus.
• Proven experience handling motor, employer liability, and public liability claims.
• In-depth knowledge of Ogden tables and future losses.
• Experience assisting on large, complex cases within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
