Apply in confidence →We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team in Manchester. This is a chance to work within one of the UK's leading insurance legal services practices, handling some of the most complex and high-value personal injury claims in the market.
The Role
You will join a collaborative and supportive team, working for leading insurer and corporate clients. Your caseload will span catastrophic and large loss claims, including motor, employers' liability, public liability, equestrian, and cross-border matters. You will work closely with experienced partners on sensitive and high-value claims, while also managing your own caseload from investigation through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss claims
- Conducting liability investigations, taking witness statements, and reviewing medical records and reports
- Assessing policy coverage and quantum for multi-track claims
- Drafting legal documents and providing strategic advice to clients
- Liaising with clients, complying with SLAs and management information requirements
- Handling interlocutory proceedings, case management conferences, and client meetings
- Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications & Experience
– Previous experience in catastrophic personal injury and large loss litigation
– Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law and procedure
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
– Focused on delivering a professional, client-centred service
– Excellent file management and organisational skills
PQE levels are a guide; all suitably qualified candidates will be considered.
