A national energy team is seeking a Senior Associate on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support high-profile commercial and regulatory matters across the public and private sectors. The role offers hands-on work on major energy projects, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and providing strategic regulatory and compliance advice.

You will join a collaborative, high-performing practice that advises government and corporate clients on Australia’s evolving energy landscape. The position provides exposure to market-leading mandates and opportunities to work with senior lawyers on matters spanning electricity, gas and infrastructure.

At least 5 years post-admission commercial and regulatory law experience
Admitted to practice in Victoria
Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
Demonstrated regulatory advisory experience and interest or exposure to energy/infrastructure matters
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-focused environment; strong client-focus, analytical ability and attention to detail
