Senior Associate — Leveraged Finance / Private Credit, Austin

Well-regarded national finance practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Leveraged Finance/Private Credit team in Austin. The role focuses on representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs and other non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed transactions and complex financing structures.

You will manage deal teams, take ownership of transactions to closing, and work directly with clients and opposing counsel in a fast-paced environment. Work includes sponsor-backed acquisition financings, multi-lender/syndicated facilities, unitranche/first-out–last-out and senior/mezzanine structures, cash-flow and asset-based lending, and liability-management and refinancings.

This position is best for a commercial finance associate with strong leveraged finance experience who is comfortable leading drafting, negotiation and execution on high-value, often cross-border matters.

• 5–7 years post-qualification experience in leveraged finance or private credit transactions
• Experience representing lenders, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed and syndicated financings
• Track record with unitranche, first-out/last-out, senior/mezzanine structures, and cash‑flow or asset‑based facilities
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; ability to manage deal teams and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Admission or eligibility to practice in Texas (or willingness to obtain)
