Our Investment Funds Group is seeking an attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our team in New York, Chicago, or Austin. This is a professional-track (non-partnership) role focused on fund formation matters.

In this role, you will work on a range of fund formation matters, including drafting and negotiating fund organizational documents and investor side letters, and coordinating investor closings. Experience with secondary transactions is a plus.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients on fund formation matters, including drafting and negotiating fund documents and investor side letters.
Coordinate investor closings and manage transactional processes.
Provide timely, accurate, and well-reasoned work product.
Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients, and third parties.
Analyze complex legal issues and apply legal principles to specific facts.
Work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff as needed.

Qualifications:

JD and 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work.
