Apply in confidence →Top-tier national finance team is seeking a Senior Associate (5–7 years PQE) to join its Charlotte office focusing on leveraged finance and private credit transactions. The role centers on lead drafting, negotiation and execution of complex sponsor-backed financings and liability-management matters in a fast-paced practice.
Work will include multi-lender and unitranche facilities, mezzanine and subordinated financings, cash-flow and asset-based lending, intercreditor mechanics, and refinancings/recapitalizations. You will work directly with lenders, sponsors and opposing counsel and take ownership of matters through to closing.
- 5–7 years post-qualification experience in leveraged finance or private credit.
- Demonstrable experience representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed acquisition financings, syndicated and unitranche structures.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills on loan documentation, intercreditor agreements and liability-management/amendment transactions.
- Ability to manage deal teams, work under pressure and drive transactions to closing.
