Senior Associate or Special Counsel role within a national Banking & Financial Services team, focused on funds management and financial services regulation. The position supports establishment and operation of investment funds across asset classes and advises on licensing, compliance and disclosure obligations.

This role may be offered as a permanent appointment or a 12‑month fixed‑term contract and is based in Melbourne with hybrid working arrangements. The team provides strong technical support and cross‑practice collaboration on fund structures, regulatory matters and transactional work.

5–9 years post‑admission experience in financial services / funds law, ideally with private practice experience
Experience advising on fund establishment, fund restructures and fund‑related commercial agreements
Knowledge of Australian financial services licensing, compliance and disclosure obligations
Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication and client relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development
