An established construction and infrastructure team in Sydney is recruiting a senior associate or special counsel for a full-time permanent role. The position offers a mix of contentious and non‑contentious construction work across major projects and infrastructure matters.

Successful candidates will handle drafting and negotiating construction contracts, advising on and managing disputes (including adjudications), and running litigation and arbitrations across Australian and international jurisdictions. The role includes client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to business development and team training.

  • Minimum ~5 years' post‑qualification construction experience at a reputable law firm or sophisticated in‑house legal team
  • Demonstrated experience in both contentious and non‑contentious construction matters, including adjudications, litigation and arbitration
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, commercial judgment and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage matters, supervise and develop junior lawyers, and participate in client relationship and business development activities
