An established technology and media practice is hiring a Senior Associate on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join its London commercial tech team. The role involves advising on complex commercial, ICT and regulatory matters supporting digital transformation, product commercialisation and cross‑border technology projects.

Work will include negotiating outsourcing, software, services and supply agreements, advising on evolving digital regulation (including AI, cybersecurity, cloud and communications) and supporting large data protection compliance programmes. The role offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑jurisdictional mandates and collaboration with colleagues across the firm’s UK and international network.

There is a strong emphasis on technical legal work, client management, and contributing to business development, training and thought leadership. The team uses legal technology and AI‑enabled tools to support service delivery.

Qualified solicitor with c.5–7 PQE (flexible for exceptional candidates)
Solid commercial contracts experience, ideally with IT, telecoms, software or technology sector work
Familiarity or demonstrable interest in digital regulation, AI, cybersecurity or data protection
Experience from a City, international or leading regional firm or relevant in‑house role
Strong drafting, client management, judgment and communication skills
