Leading international law firm seeks a Senior Conflicts Attorney to join its Legal Risk Management team in Chicago. The role focuses on identifying, reviewing and resolving ethical and business conflicts across a global platform, reviewing and negotiating outside counsel guidelines and advising on professional responsibility issues.

Day-to-day duties include conducting thorough conflicts reviews, coordinating searches and intake with internal teams, assisting with engagement letters and waivers, negotiating client-provided terms, and responding to ethics and legal-risk questions. The role will also support special projects and stay current on conflicts and professional responsibility developments across jurisdictions.

This is a hybrid position based in Chicago with regular collaboration across domestic and international offices.

Juris Doctor (JD) and active U.S. law license in good standing
5+ years of experience in conflicts, professional responsibility, or legal risk management
Substantive experience reviewing conflicts reports, engagement letters, waivers and outside counsel guidelines
Strong oral and written communication, analytical rigor, and attention to detail
Ability to work with new software systems, manage multiple assignments and collaborate across teams
