Apply in confidence →Seeking an experienced counsel to lead legal support for enterprise AI initiatives at a large, multi-office law firm. The role sits at the intersection of legal, technology, risk and compliance and will advise on evaluation, vendor diligence, contracting, deployment and governance of AI tools and related technologies.
The position partners closely with IT, information security, procurement, knowledge management and business teams to translate evolving legal and regulatory developments into practical guidance, policies and training. The role balances enabling innovation with managing legal, regulatory, operational and reputational risk associated with AI adoption.
- J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
- Significant legal experience in technology transactions, privacy/cybersecurity, data governance, regulatory compliance or professional responsibility
- Experience advising on AI/ML, data use, vendor risk and technology governance in a law firm, regulated industry or sophisticated in‑house legal team
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, privacy and cybersecurity concepts, and contractual allocation of data/IP rights
- Strong legal judgment, excellent written/verbal communication, and ability to produce practical, business‑focused guidance, policies and training
- Technical fluency to collaborate with security and engineering teams and to assess risks from emerging/agentic AI systems
