Apply in confidence →Senior counsel role supporting a combined Health Law and Corporate practice, focused on HIPAA, privacy, cybersecurity, AI and digital health matters at the intersection of regulatory counseling and transactions. The position handles both counseling and transactional work, including M&A/private equity diligence, technology contracting, vendor risk, incident readiness, and compliance program design.
The role is shared across practices with a target allocation of roughly 60% Health Law and 40% Corporate. Preferred office is Boston, with New York and Washington, DC offered as alternative locations. The team expects approximately 60% office-based work in line with published firm hybrid guidelines.
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted or eligible for admission to the MA, NY or DC bar.
- 6+ years of relevant experience advising on HIPAA, privacy, cybersecurity, digital health, AI, and related transactional or regulatory matters.
- Experience with privacy frameworks and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and with privacy/security diligence in M&A or private equity transactions.
- Track record drafting and negotiating privacy, security and data-related provisions in acquisition documents and commercial technology agreements.
- Strong written/verbal communication, independent judgment, organization, and ability to supervise junior attorneys; IAPP/CIPP certification a plus.
