Apply in confidence →Senior in-house counsel role within the Office of General Counsel focused on the ethical, responsible use of artificial intelligence and on firmwide information governance. The role sits on the Risk Management team and serves as a subject-matter expert advising on professional responsibility, confidentiality, e-discovery, subpoenas, file transfers, and client file retention.
Work collaboratively with Risk Management, AI & Knowledge, and IT teams to develop and enforce best practices for AI tool use and data handling. Provide training, policy guidance, and practical support to attorneys and staff across multiple U.S. offices, and lead special projects as assigned by senior OGC leadership.
This is a senior, practice-facing counsel position requiring strong judgment, diplomacy, and the ability to communicate complex compliance and ethics obligations clearly under tight deadlines.
- Juris Doctor and active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Eight+ years of law firm experience, preferably with litigation background
- Demonstrated expertise in ethical use of AI and information governance principles
- Strong knowledge of professional responsibility rules and law firm operations
- Excellent judgment, written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to train and influence attorneys and staff
