Solicitor / Associate — Catastrophic Loss, Manchester

A nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team is recruiting a Solicitor or Associate (NQ–5 years PQE) to join their Manchester office. The team acts for major insurers on complex, high-value personal injury and catastrophic injury matters.

The role involves managing a mixed multi-track catastrophic loss and personal injury caseload, assisting on high-value matters, advising on liability and quantum, preparing court documents, and conducting settlement negotiations. The post is hybrid with an expectation of attending the Manchester office a minimum of two days per week.

• NQ–5 years PQE (1+ PQE preferred) with experience in defendant-side litigation or relevant claimant experience in catastrophic/personal injury matters.
• Experience handling or assisting on high-value RTA, Employers’ Liability or Public Liability files (matters £1m+).
• Strong litigation skills: advising on liability and quantum, drafting pleadings, court preparation and settlement negotiations.
• Confident communicator, able to manage competing priorities and build client relationships in a commercial environment.
