An exciting opportunity has arisen for a solicitor (ideally 0-2 years PQE) to join a specialist property damage team in Glasgow, handling a varied caseload of both pursuer and defender work in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session (ordinary and commercial court), as well as arbitrations and mediations. This role is open to solicitors or trainee solicitors nearing the end of their training contract. While the majority of the team are based in Glasgow, being based there is not a requirement.

A qualified solicitor ideally between 0-2 years PQE (trainee solicitors nearing the end of their training contract will also be considered)
Highly organised with strong negotiation and communication skills and an outstanding eye for detail
Expertise in commercial litigation with demonstrable experience managing a varied caseload in Scottish courts
Excellent relationship and client handling skills; able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues
Self-sufficient with a combined awareness of the boundaries of own competence and authority
Proactive with a tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving problems
Ability to adopt a commercial perspective
