Apply in confidence →National regulatory team seeking a solicitor to join its Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) practice. The role sits on a busy, varied caseload advising organisations and individuals on regulatory investigations, prosecutions and compliance across health & safety, fire, food and environmental matters.
You'll work alongside a team of specialist regulatory lawyers, handling police and regulator investigations, inquests and related non-contentious compliance advice. The team supports client-facing development from an early stage and collaborates with other practice groups on sector-led matters.
The role is open to candidates based in London, the Midlands or the South West (including Wales) and involves occasional travel across the UK.
- At least 2 years PQE in regulatory work or a commercially focused environment (private practice or in-house).
- Experience of regulatory investigations and prosecutions (eg HSE, police, local authorities, Environment Agency), witness interviews, PACE/Custodial interviews and inquests.
- Familiarity with enforcement areas such as environmental breaches, trading standards, product/food/fire safety is beneficial.
- Client-facing skills and demonstrable ability to contribute to business development; willingness to travel as required.
