A leading law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its Data Breach Claims team. This national team defends insurers and corporate clients in claims of all values and types, handling complex and catastrophic injury cases while increasingly providing pre-emptive advice and dispute resolution.

The role focuses on investigating, defending, and resolving data breach compensation claims, including those arising from cyber-attacks. You will run a varied caseload involving individual data incidents, data subject access requests, and multiple cyber-related claims. The position offers significant responsibility and challenging work, with full training provided by specialist partners and lawyers.

Handling a caseload of varied and complex claims
Investigating data breach claims, including GDPR and Data Protection Act breaches
Providing timely, commercially astute advice to clients
Attending conferences, trials, and witness proofing
Preparing and supervising disclosure of sensitive documentation
Drafting court documents
Managing complex and sensitive case files
Achieving a minimum annual target of 1,440 chargeable hours
Developing and mentoring paralegals within the team
Supporting marketing and business development activities
Ensuring quality control and benchmark compliance, including preparing management information
Maintaining technical knowledge through online learning, training sessions, and publications
Handling confidential information in line with data security protocols
