Tax Associate — Fund Formation

Growing tax practice seeks a mid-level associate to focus on fund formation across multiple U.S. offices. The role centers on tax advice for investment funds, advising sponsors and investors on fund formations, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures.

Preferred candidates will have substantial experience with venture and private equity fund structures and be comfortable managing concurrent matters and direct client engagement. Opportunities are available in the firm's Chicago, New York, and Palo Alto offices.

• 5+ years of tax experience representing fund sponsors and/or investors, with fund formation experience
• Experience with venture capital and private equity fund structures, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures
• Strong client communication skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing matters
• Self-motivated, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
