National law firm with multiple U.S. offices is seeking a Tax Credit Senior Counsel to join its Tax Credit Finance & Development team. The role focuses on federal and state tax credit transactions, with an emphasis on New Markets Tax Credits and tax aspects of real estate finance and development.

The position is open across the firm's U.S. offices (remote/virtual options available); candidates in St. Louis are strongly preferred. The hire will work on structuring, documenting, and negotiating tax credit financings and related real estate tax matters with sponsors, lenders, and investors.

Applicants should demonstrate strong technical tax skills, experience managing transactions, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, client-facing environment. An active bar license in the state of the chosen office (or a commitment to obtain one promptly) is required.

Minimum 8 years of tax credit experience, including New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC)
Experience with real estate finance and tax-structured financings
Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills
Active bar license in the state of intended employment or willingness to obtain one promptly
