Counsel — Finance & Bankruptcy/Restructuring (Multiple Offices)

Leading national law firm seeks a Counsel to join its Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice on the Financial Services team. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices with particular hiring preference in select locations.

The position focuses on coordinating, preparing, reviewing and managing local counsel opinions for commercial lending matters, working closely with deal teams and referring counsel to resolve jurisdictional issues and negotiate opinion language under tight timelines. The role contributes to internal best practices around opinion workflows.

This is a non-partner counsel-track role with a reduced billable-hour expectation and limited business-development responsibilities.

• 3–6 years' experience in equipment finance, asset-based lending or commercial finance, with experience preparing commercial lending local counsel opinions.
• Prior experience preparing real estate local counsel opinions preferred.
• Strong legal analysis, meticulous drafting, and sound judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and opinion workflows independently and to collaborate across offices/jurisdictions.
• Admission or eligibility to practice in the jurisdiction of the hiring office; excellent communication skills.
