Leading national law firm seeks a lateral Tax Partner to join and grow its Energy tax practice in Newark. The role focuses on advising energy companies, sponsors and investors on tax aspects of projects, transactions and regulatory matters.

The position combines client-facing deal work and strategic tax planning, collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams across the firm. The team is looking for a senior lawyer who can provide technical depth, lead engagements, mentor associates and contribute to business development.

Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and substantial experience as a tax lawyer.
Significant experience advising on energy-related tax issues, including transactional and project finance matters.
Proven ability to lead engagements, manage teams and mentor junior lawyers.
Demonstrable client development skills; a portable practice or book of business is welcome.
