We are seeking a technology-focused attorney to lead the legal review, negotiation and governance of technology vendor agreements for a major international law firm. The role sits on the extended IT leadership team and partners closely with general counsel, IT, procurement and other business departments to manage contracting strategy, vendor risk, privacy and data-protection issues.

Day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating software, cloud, managed-services and consulting agreements; maintaining a contract lifecycle management inventory and playbooks; developing standard templates and outside-provider guidelines; and applying scalable procurement controls based on vendor risk. The role also supports a central Technology & Innovation governance body and helps adopt technology and AI tools to streamline contracting.

  • J.D. (or equivalent) and active bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience reviewing and negotiating technology contracts, preferably at a law firm, professional services organization, or corporate procurement/legal team
  • Experience with software, cloud and managed-services agreements and contract lifecycle management tools
  • Familiarity with generative AI products and capabilities, and with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR)
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work across legal, IT and business teams
