Leading national litigation and transactional practice seeks a mid-level associate to join its Technology & IP Transactions group in Chicago. The team advises public and private companies on technology- and IP-intensive transactions across a broad range of industries.

Work will include drafting and negotiating commercial technology agreements, IP licenses, collaboration and R&D agreements, M&A and financing-related tech work, joint ventures and outsourcing arrangements, and cross-border matters. Candidates with strong transactional drafting skills and experience on technology- or IP-focused deals will be competitive.

A technical degree is not required. The role offers exposure to high‑profile domestic and international matters within a large, transaction-focused platform.

3–6 years post-qualification experience in technology and/or IP transactions or closely related transactional experience
Proven drafting and negotiation experience on technology agreements, licenses, and commercial contracts
Experience on M&A, financings, joint ventures or cross-border transactions involving technology/IP is a plus
JD and active bar admission (or qualified to be admitted) in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
Strong academic credentials, clear writing, and the ability to manage multiple matters and client interactions
