Mid-to-senior level associate position in a major New York media & entertainment practice focused on advertising and marketing law. The role supports clients on advertising, promotions and marketing matters across digital and traditional channels, including counseling on claim substantiation and regulatory compliance.

Assignment work includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating agency-client creative services and media buying agreements, sponsorships and endorsement deals, influencer and promotional terms (sweepstakes, contests, loyalty programs), and advertising-adjacent commercial contracts. The role will also involve trademark, copyright and right-of-publicity issues, plus emerging-technology and privacy considerations.

  • 4–6 years' post-qualification experience in advertising/marketing law, media or related transactional practice
  • Active membership in the New York bar
  • Experience with drafting, reviewing and negotiating agency, media buying, sponsorship/endorsement, influencer and promotional agreements
  • Knowledge of trademark, copyright, right of publicity, advertising compliance and claim substantiation
  • Familiarity with privacy and emerging-technology issues relevant to advertising
  • Strong client-facing, drafting and project-management skills
