National litigation team is seeking a seasoned appellate counsel to lead and support complex appeals across federal and state courts. Work will span catastrophic injury, complex commercial disputes, insurance coverage and bad-faith matters, class actions, government tort and civil-rights litigation arising from trial and defense practices nationwide.

Day-to-day responsibilities include rigorous legal research and analysis, drafting and briefing appellate pleadings, reviewing trial records, preparing for and presenting oral argument, and supervising associates and paralegals on appellate workstreams. Admission to the California Bar
15+ years of appellate practice experience
Proven appellate writing and oral advocacy skills; experience framing issues under appellate standards of review
Experience managing and mentoring associates and paralegals on complex matters
Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive and confidential matters simultaneously
Appellate Law Specialist certification preferred
