Seeking an Assistant Managing Attorney to support the managing attorney in a busy litigation practice. The role focuses on developing and maintaining best practices for electronic filing, calendaring, and procedural compliance across California courts, with hands-on responsibility for filings, docketing, and quality control.

The position requires close collaboration with litigators and court staff, providing procedural guidance on motion practice, service of process, and rule changes, and supervising members of the managing attorney's office. This opening is based in the San Francisco office.

  • J.D. required; Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a managing attorney/clerk’s office at a large law firm.
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court systems, FRCP and FRAP; admission to the California bar preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic filing systems (CM/ECF and California state systems), docketing and calendaring; experience with PACER, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law or similar.
  • Proven supervisory experience, excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
