Assistant Managing Attorney — Litigation

Senior litigation operations role supporting multiple California offices. The Assistant Managing Attorney will work closely with the Managing Attorney-CA to develop and maintain best practices for electronic filing, docketing and procedural compliance across state and federal courts.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing filed and served court documents for procedural accuracy, performing legal research on procedural issues, managing CM/ECF and California e-filing, calendaring and quality-control of docket entries, and monitoring active matters through court and legal databases.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the California Bar required
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court rules, CM/ECF and state e-filing systems
  • Experience with docketing/calendaring software (CourtAlert or similar), PACER and legal research platforms (Bloomberg Law, Westlaw) preferred
  • Prior experience supervising or working in a managing attorney/clerk’s office at a large law firm preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
