Apply in confidence →Midlevel associate role in a large project, infrastructure and energy finance practice based in Washington, DC. The team advises on complex, cross‑border project financings and development transactions across regulated sectors, working closely with M&A, capital markets and regulatory specialists.
The role involves significant drafting, review and negotiation of credit/agency documentation, security and intercreditor agreements, and related project documentation (procurement, construction, offtake, JV and supply agreements). You will support financing and project development workstreams on multi‑jurisdictional matters, manage deal processes and contribute to client relationships.
The position suits a commercially minded lawyer comfortable handling detailed contractual work on long‑running, high‑profile transactions, able to manage competing deadlines, mentor junior colleagues and take on increasing responsibility.
- 4+ years of relevant law firm or in‑house experience with domestic and international agency lender exposure
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills on credit facilities, security and intercreditor arrangements
- Experience with project/infrastructure or energy financings and cross‑border transactions
- Excellent commercial awareness, time management and communication skills; team player
- Strong academics; international experience or additional languages a plus
