Associate — Bankruptcy (Restructuring), San Francisco

Leading restructuring team seeks a finance associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice in San Francisco. The role focuses on creditor- and borrower-side work on liability-management transactions, debtor-in-possession financings, bankruptcy exit financings and special-situations financings.

Associates will work on top-of-capital-structure representations for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. The team offers exposure to high-profile, complex restructurings and cross-disciplinary finance matters.

• Law school class years 2019–2023
• Significant experience on liability-management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings and/or special-situations financings
• Background representing creditors or borrowers (hedge funds, CLOs, private equity and other financial institutions a plus)
• Comfort working on Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings
