Associate — Corporate (Emerging Companies, Growth Equity & Private Capital)

Leading corporate practice seeking mid‑level associates to join an Innovation Economy team focused on emerging companies, growth equity, venture capital and private capital transactions. The role sits on a cross‑disciplinary platform advising founders, venture-backed companies, growth investors and institutional backers across the company lifecycle.

Associates will work on a broad slate of matters including venture and growth financings, primary and secondary investments, preferred equity financings, strategic and crossover investments, structured liquidity solutions, M&A for private companies, pre‑IPO readiness, and cross‑border private capital transactions. The team coordinates closely with M&A, private equity, capital markets, tax, compensation, IP and regulatory practices.

The group is hiring candidates who want substantive deal responsibility, client contact, and the chance to develop a market‑leading growth equity/private capital practice within the innovation ecosystem.

• Approximately 3–7 years of corporate/private capital experience at a major law firm
• Significant venture capital, growth equity, private company financing, private equity or related transactional experience
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, project management and client‑facing skills
• Strong academic record and outstanding written and oral communication
• California bar admission or eligibility
