Associate, Business Restructuring & Reorganization (New York)

Leading New York restructuring team seeks an associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice. The role involves a mix of creditor-, debtor- and distressed-acquisition work in both chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Candidates will work on liability-management transactions and complex restructurings, including cross-border chapter 11 matters and high‑profile creditor-side representations for financial institutions and investment vehicles.

Preference for candidates based in or able to work from New York.

• J.D. (law school class years 2019–2022)
• Prior experience representing creditors or borrowers on liability-management transactions and restructurings
• Experience with Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings; distressed acquisitions a plus
• Strong academic record, legal writing skills, and ability to handle complex, high‑stakes matters
