Associate — Catastrophic Injury / Large Loss (Litigation) — Manchester

Join a market-leading catastrophic injury and large-loss litigation team in Manchester. The role suits a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Litigation Executive with a strong background in motor claims and complex personal injury work.

You will manage a litigated caseload of high-value motor injury matters (typically £50k–£250k, with exposure to larger claims), develop case strategy, instruct and analyse expert evidence, draft pleadings and witness statements, and lead settlement negotiations and mediation activity.

The team works closely with insurer clients and external counsel on contested liability and quantum issues, operating to court timetables and client service levels in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or equivalent litigation experience
• Proven experience handling a caseload of motor/personal injury claims, including serious injury matters
• Strong liability and quantum analysis, and experience obtaining and using expert evidence
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and file-management skills; ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Defendant insurance background and prior exposure to high-value or catastrophic claims preferred
