Join a national insurance and complex disputes team in Canberra, advising insurers, government self-insurers and corporate clients on contentious and advisory matters. The role covers management of insurance litigation in the ACT courts and providing strategic advice on insurance and regulatory issues.

You will work within a collaborative national practice, handling a mixed caseload of civil litigation and insurance advisory work, instructing counsel on complex matters and undertaking solicitor advocacy where required.

Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in private practice
Strong civil litigation experience, ideally including acting for insurers, government insurers or corporate self-insurers
Experience appearing as a solicitor advocate, briefing counsel and attending settlement conferences
Excellent drafting, technical legal skills, attention to detail and time management
Client-focused, collaborative approach with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
