Apply in confidence →Join our Construction & Engineering team in Bristol and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure and projects work. You will support a market-leading non-contentious practice covering residential development, transport, flood defence, and public sector projects, working with developers, funders, central and local government, and NHS clients.
You will:
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on construction and engineering contracts, including framework agreements, call-off contracts, consultant appointments, and pre-construction service agreements using NEC4 and bespoke forms.
- Attend and lead client meetings where appropriate.
- Assist with fee proposals, tender documents, and other business development activities.
- Manage your own caseload and supervise paralegals.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain high service standards.
- Comply with firm policies and data security protocols.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, legal research, and pitch development.
We are looking for someone with:
- Construction contract experience advantageous, but candidates with commercial contracts/projects experience and an interest in infrastructure will be considered.
- A strong academic record.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Confidence in building relationships at all levels.
- Ambition to learn and develop within the team.
- Flexibility, organisation, and the ability to work under pressure.
