Apply in confidence →Mid-level associate or counsel opportunity in a national employee benefits practice with a primary focus on health & welfare plans. The role will handle counseling and dispute work related to plan administration, regulatory compliance, and ERISA litigation concerns.
The team advises on a range of statutory and regulatory issues including HIPAA, COBRA, the Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act, the No Surprises Act, and the Affordable Care Act. Work will include regulatory counseling, document review and drafting, and representation in benefits-related disputes.
Ideal candidates will be Atlanta-based (or willing to relocate) and will join a collaborative benefits group serving a diverse client base across the U.S.
- Juris Doctor and active bar admission (or eligibility) in relevant state
- Minimum 3 years' experience in employee benefits with demonstrable experience on health & welfare matters
- Solid understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, MHPAEA, No Surprises Act, ACA and ERISA fundamentals
- Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with counseling and litigation support
