Well-established Canadian firm seeks an associate with approximately five years of private-practice experience to join its Montréal employment and labour team. The role offers a full-service employment practice with a significant focus on occupational health & safety and workers’ compensation.

The successful candidate will handle litigation and advocacy before superior courts, specialist tribunals and administrative bodies, and will advise on collective bargaining (initial collective agreements and renewals), discipline, dismissal, accommodation, disability management, human rights, workplace investigations and pension matters (asset).

Responsibilities also include advising clients on health & safety compliance, managing workplace injury files, and delivering tailored client training. The firm values client service, teamwork, innovation and diversity; bilingual French/English candidates are preferred. The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec.

Approximately 5 years PQE in private-practice employment and labour law
Experience litigating before courts, specialist tribunals and administrative bodies
Practical experience in occupational health & safety and workers’ compensation matters
Experience advising on collective bargaining, discipline, dismissal, accommodation and workplace investigations
Strong client-service orientation, commercial judgement and excellent interpersonal and communication skills in French and English
Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
