Join a busy, client-focused employment team delivering advisory and contentious work for employers across sectors. The role is open to candidates for either the Exeter or Cheltenham office and offers exposure to tribunal litigation, complex investigations, restructurings and TUPE matters.

You will advise on employment status, contracts and handbooks, redundancy, discrimination and disciplinary/sickness management, support in-house HR teams, and manage Employment Tribunal claims from ACAS through hearings and appeals. The team works collaboratively across corporate and commercial dispute teams on related issues.

The firm operates flexible working patterns, emphasises training and progression, and encourages contribution to business development and client relationship activities.

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland with approximately 1–5 years PQE in employment law
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law; experience of Tribunal claims and hearings desirable
  • Strong drafting, advocacy, negotiation and client-facing skills; comfortable advising HR teams on sensitive workplace issues
  • Organised, commercially aware, with attention to detail and ability to manage a mixed caseload to tight deadlines
