Apply in confidence →Join an established Energy & Climate practice in Washington, D.C. supporting regulatory and transactional matters before FERC and related state and RTO/ISO processes. The role focuses on advising independent power producers, large energy consumers, grid-edge companies, and transmission developers on filings and advocacy under the Federal Power Act and related statutes.
Typical work will include preparing Section 203, 205 and 206 filings and complaints, PURPA matters, interconnection and transmission regulatory work, and regulatory compliance and enforcement responses. The team values independent thinking, strong drafting, and commercial problem-solving applied to large, consequential energy regulatory matters.
- 2–6 years of post-qualification experience with energy regulatory work (FERC experience strongly preferred)
- Practical knowledge of the Federal Power Act, RTO/ISO market design and stakeholder processes; familiarity with PURPA, ERCOT protocols, and interconnection/transmission issues is desirable
- Excellent legal research, persuasive writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Superior academic credentials and strong interpersonal skills
