Apply in confidence →Mid-senior associate role in a global Energy, Infrastructure & Natural Resources practice based in New York. The team advises on project financings, asset acquisitions/dispositions, restructurings and workouts across power, renewables, resources and related infrastructure sectors.
The role involves structuring, negotiating and documenting complex project finance transactions (including limited and non‑recourse financings), coordinating cross‑jurisdictional teams, conducting due diligence on project documentation and advising on refinancings and secondary market transactions.
Opportunity to take responsibility for workstreams, liaise directly with clients and counterparties, and supervise and mentor junior fee‑earners within a multi‑disciplinary, international practice.
- 5–7 years post‑qualification experience in project finance, with significant focus on energy, resources and/or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience structuring and documenting project financings (facility agreements, intercreditor/security/direct agreements and ancillary documents).
- Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial skills; ability to run workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Experience on cross‑border transactions and coordinating with counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication, client‑relationship skills and ability to supervise junior lawyers.
- Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and admission (or clear ability to become admitted) to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction.
