A leading international law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate for its Energy & Infrastructure practice. The role is open to candidates for the New York, Washington, D.C., or San Francisco offices and will focus on regulatory work in the energy and infrastructure sector.

The successful candidate will work on matters involving federal and state utility regulation, including FERC and state public utility commission issues, tariffs, interconnection, and power-supply structures for data centers. The position involves advising on regulatory aspects of transactions and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates will have strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and oral advocacy skills, and 3–6 years of relevant regulatory experience in the energy sector. Admission to the New York, D.C., or California bar is required.

  • 3–6 years' experience in energy regulatory matters (FERC and state PUC practice)
  • Familiarity with tariffs, interconnection processes, and power-supply arrangements for data centers
  • Bar admission in New York, D.C., or California
  • Strong academic record, drafting and communication skills
