Chambers-ranked energy regulatory team in Washington, D.C. seeks an associate with 4–6 years' experience to work on energy regulatory and transactional matters, with a focus on data center power supply and related infrastructure projects.

The role involves regulatory authorizations and administrative litigation before FERC and state utility commissions, negotiating power supply and infrastructure transactions, drafting pleadings and briefs, and providing regulatory support on M&A, project finance and real estate matters. Candidates will work closely with market-facing teams and industry experts on large energy infrastructure matters including data centers, renewables, generation and transmission.

The team emphasizes mentorship and professional development; candidates should be comfortable interacting directly with clients, synthesizing technical material, and contributing in a collaborative, in-office environment.

  • 4–6 years' post-qualification experience in energy regulatory or transactional work
  • Experience before FERC and/or state utility commissions, or comparable regulatory proceedings
  • Experience or strong interest in data center power supply, electric & gas matters, or renewable energy projects
  • Strong research and drafting skills, comfort with technical subject matter, and client-facing experience
