Apply in confidence →Top-tier international practice is hiring transactional associates for its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure team. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices; candidates should apply to the office where they are licensed to practice.
The associate will work on renewable and energy-transition finance and M&A matters, representing sponsors, developers, investors and financial institutions. Typical work includes U.S. project finance and tax-equity financings, energy project development matters, and negotiation of project agreements (for example, PPAs, EPC and O&M agreements).
The team handles complex, cross-functional transactions; successful candidates will work closely with deal teams and client counterparties.
- 3+ years' post-qualification legal experience; prior law firm experience required
- Admitted to practice in the U.S. jurisdiction where you will be based
- Experience in project finance and tax-equity transactions in the U.S. renewables/power sector and/or energy project development
- Familiarity negotiating project agreements (PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.)
- Strong analytical, drafting and interpersonal skills; ability to manage complex transactions and interact with clients
