Apply in confidence →Join a leading global restructuring and insolvency practice focused on complex Chapter 11, out-of-court restructurings and cross-border insolvency work. The team advises debtors, creditors and other stakeholders on restructuring plans, financing, claims processes and related litigation.
This role is open across US offices and is suited to an associate with 1–6 years' experience who wants exposure to sophisticated, high-profile bankruptcy matters. You will draft pleadings and disclosure statements, analyze issues under the US Bankruptcy Code, support confirmation hearings, and coordinate Chapter 15 and cross-border workstreams with foreign counsel.
Successful candidates will be collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams while developing technical expertise in restructuring, debtor-in-possession financing, claims objections and restructuring agreements.
- Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent
- 1–6 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in a large-firm restructuring/insolvency practice
- Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where you are applying
- Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills; solid grounding in the US Bankruptcy Code and Chapter 11 practice
- Experience with Chapter 15/cross-border insolvency, restructuring agreements, and debtor-in-possession financing preferred
- Excellent communication, time-management and teamwork skills; ability to handle competing priorities under supervision
