Associate, Restructuring & Insolvency

We are seeking an associate with one to six years of experience to join our highly collaborative Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practice. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile, and complex restructuring matters within an elite global law firm.

In this role, you will advise creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders in financially distressed situations, including Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and cross-border insolvencies. You will take on meaningful responsibility, including drafting pleadings and motions, developing plans of reorganization, negotiating key restructuring documents, and managing cross-border workstreams. You will also analyze complex financial and business information, work closely with financial advisors and experts, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients on fast-moving matters.

We are looking for an attorney with excellent academic credentials, a solid grounding in commercial law, and a strong interest in restructuring and insolvency. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams while navigating complex, evolving legal issues. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or LLM/foreign equivalent) from an accredited law school
• 1+ years of experience in a large law firm setting
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where you will be based
• Excellent drafting, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple projects
• Sound judgment, client service focus, and a proactive, self-starting approach
• Fluency in English
