Insolvency Associate — Bankruptcy

National law firm with multiple U.S. offices is seeking an Insolvency Associate to join its bankruptcy/creditors rights team. This is an immediate opening available in Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston or Phoenix. The role focuses on commercial bankruptcy, restructurings and creditors rights matters, with frequent in-person hearings and trial-related appearances.

The team handles workouts, receiverships, judicial and equitable foreclosures, pre- and post-judgment collection work, and related litigation. The firm looks for proactive, team-oriented candidates with strong judgment, the ability to manage competing deadlines and clear written and oral advocacy skills.

Candidates should hold (or be prepared to obtain promptly) an active bar license in the state of the office to which they apply. The firm offers competitive compensation and benefits; for Colorado and Illinois-based hires the salary range is $225,000 to $275,000, commensurate with experience.

• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in bankruptcy, creditors rights or restructuring matters
• Substantive experience with commercial bankruptcy, workouts, receiverships, judicial/equitable foreclosures and restructurings
• Litigation experience including pre-judgment relief, collections, hearings and trial appearances
• Comfort with travel and significant in-person hearing/trial work
• Strong academic record, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Active bar license in the relevant state or commitment to obtain promptly
