Apply in confidence →Join a leading international law firm's Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practice in the United States. The team advises debtors, creditors and other stakeholders on complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including chapter 11 cases and cross-border insolvencies.
The role is for an associate with substantial exposure to drafting pleadings, disclosure statements and reorganization plans; researching and advising on issues under the US Bankruptcy Code; negotiating DIP financings, cash‑collateral and restructuring support agreements; and coordinating Chapter 15 and cross‑border workstreams.
This is a collaborative, client-facing position that offers hands‑on experience on sophisticated, high‑profile matters and opportunities to work with financial advisors and overseas counsel while developing technical bankruptcy expertise.
- Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and active US bar admission or eligibility
- 2–4 years' post‑qualification experience in restructuring, bankruptcy or related litigation
- Strong drafting, research and project management skills; comfort preparing pleadings, disclosure statements and hearing materials
- Experience with chapter 11 practice, DIP financing, claims processes and cross‑border/Chapter 15 matters preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively on fast‑moving matters, communicate clearly with clients and coordinate with financial and foreign counsel
