Associate – Insurance (Motor, Employers' Liability & PL)

Growing Major Injury & Casualty team seeks an Associate to handle a varied caseload of litigated matters across Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Motor claims. The role will involve progressing files from pre‑litigation through Sheriff Court work and assisting on higher‑value, complex matters.

This is a hybrid position with the role able to be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will work with long‑standing insurer and corporate clients, manage your own caseload in line with service standards, and develop technical and commercial skills through on‑the‑job experience and training.

• Experience running an own caseload of pre‑litigation and Sheriff Court litigation.
• Practical insurance litigation experience handling Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Motor claims.
• Strong technical grasp of litigation principles and case law; organised and able to prioritise work to tight deadlines.
• Good negotiation and written/verbal communication skills; ability to build client and stakeholder relationships.
• Desirable: experience with serious or catastrophic injury files and defender/insurer side acting.
