Associate, M&A / Private Equity — Houston

Top-tier international M&A team is seeking a junior associate with private equity and transactional experience to join its Houston corporate practice. The role involves advising privately held and high-growth companies, private equity funds and corporate strategics on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and related corporate matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting due diligence, drafting transactional documents and term sheets, assisting at negotiations, and coordinating with cross-border and multidisciplinary deal teams. The role suits a proactive, commercially minded lawyer comfortable working in large international transactions.

• 1+ years substantive M&A experience at a leading law firm, with exposure to private equity and corporate transactions
• Experience representing buyers, sellers and financial sponsors on domestic and cross-border transactions
• Strong drafting, analytical and project-management skills; attention to detail
• Juris Doctor (or foreign equivalent) and admitted to the Texas bar or able to obtain admission
• Excellent oral and written communication, ability to work collaboratively in international teams and manage competing priorities
