An established Professional & Financial Risks team within a national insurance practice is hiring an Associate to be based in the Bristol office. The team acts for a wide range of professional indemnity insurers and their insureds, handling claims against professionals such as solicitors, brokers, accountants and financial advisers.

The role will involve managing a varied caseload of professional indemnity matters (pre- and post-litigation), advising on coverage issues and related regulatory or ombudsman matters, and supporting insurer and insured clients. You will work with experienced lawyers in a collaborative team and will be given autonomy on files, with opportunities to contribute to business development and client initiatives.

1-4 years PQE (or equivalent relevant experience)
Strong litigation background; insurance/professional indemnity experience desirable
Ability to manage a caseload, deliver commercial legal advice and maintain high client service standards
Committed to business development and collaborative team working; strong written and oral communication skills
Good organisational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality and competence with Microsoft Office
