Associate — Public Agency & Municipal Law, Los Angeles

Established national law firm is hiring an associate to join its Public Agency & Municipal Law practice in Los Angeles. The team represents cities, counties, school districts, special districts and other public entities on litigation, counseling, and transactional matters across California and beyond.

The role focuses on civil litigation defense for public entities and their employees, including drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings, briefing and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions. Trial experience is a plus but not required. The position is based in Los Angeles with hybrid working arrangements.

• 2–7 years of civil litigation experience, preferably defending public entities or law enforcement
• Admission to the California Bar required
• Experience preparing/responding to written discovery, meet-and-confers, motion practice, and depositions
• Strong writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
